FloraGoGo

This project came from a bootcamp offered by the Interaction Design Foundation. The assignment was to design an app for a flower delivery service in which customers choose from a selection of local vendors, similar to DoorDash or Uber Eats (but for flowers)

The Process

First I made a survey to see who uses flower delivery. There were a total of 10 questions and 10 participants. When asked about problems they'd come across when ordering flower delivery, 40% of participants said delivery time was an issue, and 80% said they typically need their flowers delivered within 1 - 2 days.

With these in mind I made a customer journey map to plan out the structure of the app. I tried to keep it as simple as possible.

Then I drew the low-fidelity wireframe.

Once I had that made I did a round of remote user testing with 10 participants, to ensure there weren't any usability flaws.

Next was the high-fidelity wireframes.

Lastly, the high-fidelity mockup screens.

I learned from this project how important it is to do good and thorough research on your users, especially if you want to get the best outcome out of your design. It also gave me practice making color palettes, which I need. Overall it was my best project so far and I'm looking forward to putting what I learned to good use in future projects.
